CRF is a charitable trust. It was registered in the State of Kerala, India (Reg No. 347/IV/97). Being
the president of the trust, I am having a sublime aim to proclaim the gospel of Christ along with doing service
to the sick and needy in society irrespective of religion, caste and denomination.
My basis of the ministry is 1 Cor 9:16-18 (LB) in a nutshell is “…. for God has picked me out and given me this sacred trust and I have no choice.
Under this circumstances, what is my pay ? It is a special joy I get from preaching the Good News without expense to any one, never demanding my rights”.
To tell more about myself, I can reiterate the words of Amos, a prophet of 8th century BC. Amos 7:14. “I am not really one of the prophets. I do not
come from a family of prophets. I am just a herds man and fruit picker. But the Lord took me from caring for the flocks and told me, go and prophesy to my people (LB)”.
I lost my father at the infant age of ONE. At the age of seventeen I surrendered my entire life to Jesus Christ, while attending a Gospel
meeting at my local parish –St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Valamboor.
Going forward, I took office as the general secretary of SWAMEDHAYA SUVISHESHA SANGHAM (Voluntary missionary Society), in the
Orthodox Church and continued for many years. In those days, there was no faction of Jacobites and Orthodox. I worked with Rev. Fr. K.O Thomas,
President of the Sangham and Rev Fr. C.M Thomas, now HH Baselios Thomas I Catholicos of Jacobite Church. Simultaneously, I was general
secretary of Mission Board of the Orthodox Church under the patronage of HH Baselios Marthoma Mathews I Catholicos, Rev. Fr. K.O. Thomas
and Rev. Fr. M.V George, now Very Rev. Osthathios Thirumeni, Rev. Fr. K.K Punnose (Late Very Rev. Theodosius Thirumeni) being members
of the Mission Board. Bhilai mission was formulated by the Mission Board at that time. In those days, I used to speak in various gospel conventions
of the church far and wide. The local prayer fellowship in my parish was continuing and new members from various churches were coming for the
prayer fellowship. Then we thought of starting radio ministry to widen the propagation of gospel. I discussed the matter with my spiritual
friends – Dr. K.T Poulose, Prof. C.M Mathew, Sri. U.T George (Rtd. Depty Chief Engineer, KSEB), Dr. Geogi K Nainan etc. Thus the trust was
formed and registered with members from Orthodox and Jacobite churches.
We began Radio and Television ministry. I speak in following Radio and Television channels :
Radio :
Feba Radio SW 25 M Band - 7:45 PM IST, on all Tuesdays.
Television : AsiaNet News at 6:30 AM IST on all Fridays,
Surya TV at 6:30 AM IST on all Saturdays and
Jeevan TV at 6:30 AM IST on all Sundays.
I have written 46 Malayalam books and 6 English books (translation), many of them can be read in this website. Also, there are other audio and video messages
available in this website.
Though the members of the CRF belong to Orthodox , Jacobite ,Roman Catholic, Marthomite, Knananite, CSI and Evangelical Churches, we are
having one view on spreading the gospel and doing the social services. The fundamental idea of CRF is transformation of the total personality rather than
changing community or denomination.
Now a Kalpana of HH Baselios Marthoma Didymos I Catholicos of the Orthodox Chruch has been read in Churches against this fellowship.
We have not disobeyed the traditions and faith of our forefathers. We are preaching the gospel and not contradicting any teaching of any denomination.
We are always particular to obey the rules and practices of our own churches. I am still a practising member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Valamboor,
Kandanad Dioceses (Ernakulam Dist, Kerala) and I was a managing committee member of the parish for past 10 years continuously. The Christian
Revival Fellowship is not a trust or organization of any church though I am personally a member of the Orthodox church. The basic faith and traditions
of the Orthodox church , as far as I am concerned, is sublime and my humble desire is that I will stick on to the church, doing the Lord's work and thus fulfill my
ministry and holiness in personal life. Our decision is that the Christian Revival Fellowship will, at any cost, continue without deviating from the fundamental principles
practised upto this time.
Under this circumstances, I can once again affirm that I will be loyal to my commitment towards Jesus Christ.
Sincerely,
Prof. M. Y. Yohannan
President, Christian Revival Fellowship.
Retd. Principal, St.Peter's College, Kolenchery, Kerala, India.
